I had the idea for Don’t Listen when, after years of performing contemporary classical music, I had to conclude that it is very difficult to reach many people with this genre.I’ve therefore quoted a number of short fragments of well-known melodies throughout the piece, which will also be recognised by fans of other musical genres.

Nevertheless, you don’t have to listen to it, which is why I chose its title: Don’t Listen
